COMPLEMENTARY COLOR STUDY
This is an exploration of using water color in coordination with colored pencil, it creates a nice flow that is reflected by the imagery of the fountain. This is one image of a set of an exploration of the use of complementary colors. This past christmas I gave the original to my sister, and I composed it with an orange matte with a black frame.

COMPLEMENTARY COLOR STUDY
This is the yellow/purple version of the set of my complementary color study.

LIFE DRAWING
This is a self portrait in which symbolic imagery in my life were composed and then illustrated. It serves as a metaphor of how our environment determines and represents who we are. In the picture is my journal that consisted only of entries from my friends and represents my personal connections, a bible to represent my religious side at the time, a sculpted cup created by my father to represent my artistic upbringing, an ipod to display my relationship with technology, and a yearbook entry written on an Ace of Spades done by a girl that I had a crush on at the time.

ACRYLIC PAINTING
An exploration of acrylic paint.

This was an important place of my youth, and I have a lot of memories associated with these two tressel bridges situated over a river in Northwestern Pennsylvania. I thought it was only appropraite to illustrate the place and connect to it in another way.

I was walking through the public library of Edinboro University and I caught a glimpse of a little girl sitting in a chair situated down an isle of books. I was drawn to the composition so I cranked this drawing out.

GRAPHITE DRAWING
My good friend Ian, for two years persisted that I draw him, and it had to be in the nude. I finally caved and set up this composition.

GRAPHITE DRAWING
A couple friends and myself, when we were still in elementary school created a massive fortified complex in the forest outside the town of Venango. We had a garden, a tipi, stairs with a railing, a lookout, escape routes, sparring grounds, assorted weapons, a water filtering system, and this furnished shelter. A few years after we lost interest and moved on to other things, I went back to revisit my childhood. Everything had become victim to nature, and it offered a neglected homeless oasis vibe. It was all very nostalgic.
