My father was quite a character. He always seemed to go against the grain of the standards of popular culture, and he created his own unique style in how he chose to live his life. For the last decade up until his passing in 2010, he lived in a converted
old flour mill which also doubled as his flooring business. He was a methodist christian that played guitar every Sunday for the praise and worship band, and he would always be wearing at all times at least one item of Steelers memorabilia. So when, in the summer of 2008 he decided to grow out his hair to donate it to
Locks of Love, I jumped at the opportunity to document it in a Bob Riegner signature fashion with a wacky photoshoot. This one one of our strongest bonding moments as father and son.
