In Late May of 2011, My father unexpectedly passed away. Although I found relieve from attending his funeral and spreading his ashes at the Grand Canyon, I still felt as if I needed closure in a more expressive way. I found that last letter he ever wrote to me and I realized that I had never written back. This silkscreened artwork is a visual and written response to my father's letter, sourcing imagery from both his and my words. It was one of the most meaningful projects that I have ever made. I now try to include as much love and passion in all of my projects as I did with this one.
