TYPE SPECIMEN SHEETS

3 poster series of Type Specimen sheets depicting Helvetica Bold, Adobe Garamond, and Trajan Bold. I replaced the type of the eye chart so that these posters would generate user interactivity.

CURRENCY

CURRENCY DESIGN

Until this project, I had never appreciated the beautiful intricacy of patterning and national symbology of design that is incorporated into paper money. This project was an exploration of the imagery used in a nation's currency. Developing elements such as patterning, images, security patterns, color, names, banks, editions, placement, etc. to all represent a country such as the phillipines was a fresh new take on a very unappreciated aspect of design.

MELODY PRESS

BOOK JACKET DESIGN

This was my first experience with book jacket design: the concept of creating an images that appropriately summarizes an entire book. Also, all books are developed by a publisher, who in many cases have their own distinct layout templates that allow the book to not only stand out as a description of the content, but bring it back together in a set that can also create an easy association with a specific publishing company. These were the challenges that I faced in the creation of my publishing company and it's application to the re-designing already published books.

GULP

IDENTITY DESIGN

This project served as a desconstruction and then reconstruction of the secenario of what could the re-branding Identity of google resemble if the company was bought out and rebranded with a new name. The goal was to act as if the designer is the new owner of google, and to create a brand around the new, but already established entity of users. The challenge was then to generate the proper logo, stationary, homepage, search-results-page, tshirt, annual report covers, spec sheets, etc.

STEEL CITY

IDENTITY DESIGN

Steel City Framing, a Pittsburgh Pennsylvania based company requested an Identity design package for the company. Although these comps were not used for a final production, the project still served as a great introduction for me to letterhead package design.
