Architecture has become engrained in my daily life as a resident of New York City. I have explored and analyzed some of the world's most renown buildings and I must tip my hat to architects everywhere for taking on the endeavor of what it takes to complete these complicated projects. At
karlssonwilker inc. I was asked to head up the typographic treatment for a poster series for the
Harvard University Graduate School of Architecture's spring events. From my prior knowledge of the field, all forms in architecture are based on the structures of the
platonic solids. I found that letters can be extracted from the form of a
dodecahedron, another platonic solid. I used them to the create the title of the event series. The wonderful
Nicole Jacek handled all of the grid work and event typography, and pushed the envelope in production for two fluorescents and a metallic for the final folded mailer.
