My first college roommate was an extremely gifted drummer. While attending the New School for Jazz in 2007, he turned me on to Jazz guitarists such as Victor Wooten and Richard Bona. Many of these key figures helped define my love for innovative and beautiful music. So when, while working for Karlssonwilker inc. in 2010, I was asked to design the website for another innovative jazz musician, Skuli Sverrisson, I was excited beyond belief. In some way I could hopefully create a pathway in which people would connect to the same kind of music that I had grown to love years before. In some way I would like to imagine that typing on a keyboard and clicking a mouse using the language of design is comparable to strumming guitar strings to make wonderfully captivating melodies.
